1894 Forbes Silver Plate Brides/Cake Basket

The Forbes Silver Company was established in 1894 as a part of the Meriden Britannia Company. This Antique floral wreath etched basket is in Excellent Condition, with a lovely old overall patina. Impressed on the bottom with the Forbes eagle in a circle, and marked Forbes Silver Quadruple and the # 223. The rectangular basket measures 9" by 10" and stands approx. 9" with the handle up. The handle is an exceptional, heavy, ornate handle, but doesn't always stay up. Beautiful basket, I'm sure that you will be pleased.
