This is a beautiful ivory (not bone) netsuke of a man in a robe. The old man, with wrinkles on his forehead, is depicted with hands in his sleeve. The carving is nice and smooth. The piece is hollow and the bottom is closed, the top is open. It has an intentional hole at the bottom of the piece. The carving dates to late 19th to early 20th century China.

Condition: Excellent (there is a normal age crack on the man's left side).

Measurements: 2 3/8 in. high x 1 3/4 in. wide x 1 in. deep.
