Charming, antique, 1848 pocket Bible with leather cover and note inscribed on front cover from a teacher, A. Pine, to her student, Caroline George, for her "perfection and diligence during the process of school".

Also in the pages of the Bible is a leaflet with a lithograph of Jesus. On the back is a memorial to Nickolas Qualls, born 1850, and died 1898.

This precious Bible is in excellent condition for its age. The pages have yellowed a bit and the gold on the edges of the pages have darkened. The leather shows some wear.

This Bible measures 5-1/4" tall, 3-1/4" wide, 1-1/4" thick. The spine is inscribed in gold lettering, Bible.
