This "Modern Family Cook Book" by Meta Given was copyrighted in 1942 and published in 1943 by J. G. Ferguson and Associates. This 66 year old book is the fifth printing.

The book is red cover boards with art deco style drawing on the front. It features a photo of a completely equipped, working kitchen from that 1943, hundreds of recipes, a menu for every meal for a year, and a simple recipe for every dish used.

There are several black/white photos and some color photos, Finger tabs and easy to locate chapters including meal planning, cooking, serving, nutritive value charts, glossary of terms of cooking, and an index.

This book is in excellent condition. It is very clean inside and out, and does not look like it was ever used. It does have some shelf wear on the cover and corners. Spine is tight.
