This elegant pedestal bowl with clear glass stem and fancy handles is a wonderful example of very collectible Ruby Red Flash Glass, sometimes called Ruby Red Stained Glass. I love the regal design and the six-sided foot on this lovely glassware. A very showy for your curio cabinet, dinner table, or for an accent piece. What a pretty gift or award, or trophy it would make!

The red on the bowl is a stain "flashed" with heat, onto the glass to make it look red. This was very common technique used in the early 1900's. Sometimes a bit of red went unto a part of the glass that wasn't supposed to be red, as is the case in a couple of small spots around the handles on this piece.

Condition: No chips, cracks or damage of any kind. Measures: 6.5" tall and 8.75" wide from tip to tip of the handles.
