Beautiful set of 10 small square trays from Limoges dating from the late 19th century. The marks on the bottom are CFH over GDM and 'CH FIELD HAVILAND, LIMOGES' in a black circle. The CFH is for Charles Field Haviland and GDM is for Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel. GDM were partners who took over from Haviland in 1881. They used a combination of their initials as a porcelain mark until 1890. Each tray is hand-painted in a unique floral pattern. The same delicate style is used, but the flowers vary from tray to tray. The rims are gold and in very good shape for their age. Overall condition is excellent - there are a few with some tiny pock marks in the center, barely noticeable. This is a gorgeous, unusual set of trays from the Victorian era.
