Gorgeous Nippon geometric and roses plate - late 19th c

This is a wonderful Nippon example of roses pattern with an unusual geometric edging in green around the plate. The geometric styling is reminiscent of a garden trellis design. Pink and red roses are painted between the geometric design and in the center, with green leaves. Beautifully painted, there is also some moriage texture on the geometric portion, with raised dots done in white. There is some gold stylized design in between the geometry and on the rim, though some has rubbed off the rim in normal wear. The bottom has the blue maple leaf mark, indicating late 19th c. This piece is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. There are a couple of tiny light marks on the face of the plate, barely noticeable. What a wonderful addition to a collection.
