Beautiful set of 10 small square trays from Limoges dating from the late 19th century. The marks on the bottom are CFH over GDM and 'CH FIELD HAVILAND, LIMOGES' in a black circle. The CFH is for Charles Field Haviland and GDM is for Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel. GDM were partners who took over from Haviland in 1881. They used a combination of their initials as a porcelain mark until 1890. Each tray is hand-painted in a unique floral pattern. The same delicate style is used, but the flowers vary ...
