This lovely portrait is definitely painted with a competent hand. Water colour on ivory depicts a lovely woman with raven hair in a blue dress. British school painting from the mid 19th century. Ivory wafer appears to have a repair where the edges of a break were approximated and attached Other than that the painting displays well.Housed in a bronze frame with convex glass Measures 3 1/4" by 2 1/2" Signed on right with initials P.B.
