****** A spectacular vintage (Both Pieces signed ) ~ Sherman set of clip on earrings, a full inch across.....Each stone is individually pains takingly hand set in prongs ~ The sparkling delicate blue aurora borealis crystal stones are set in a shining rhodium setting. This wonderful set is in excellent condition with barely any wear.... ** Gustave Sherman is unparalleled as Canada's finest costume jewelry designer. He began his company in Montreal, Canada in 1941, producing high end, quality costume jewelry. He used only first quality Swarovski stones, crystal beads and findings. Aurora borealis coatings, navettes and long marquise cut stones seemed to be a favorite of his. Stones in Sherman Jewelry include both brilliant cut navettes and chatons. Baguettes were used, but not as commonly as other stone shapes. Heavy plating in gleaming rhodium, gold-tone or japanned settings were used. Swarovski did produce custom stones for Sherman, including some that were "reverse foiled".
