Royal Doulton may be traced to the early 19th century, when John Doulton began working at London's Fulham Pottery, one of the most important of the early commercial potteries in England~By 1877 his son , Henry Doulton , bought a factory at Burslem in Stoke-on-Trent, a city known as The Potteries and home of English bone china. Other famous potters located here included Wedgwood, Minton, Beswick, and Royal Adderly. The area became the center for potters ~ As of 1884 Doulton had begun the use of using bone china in its production ....Today ,pieces of the esteemed Royal Doulton Collections are sought after through out the world and treasured from generation to generation....
