Offered for your consideration...is this beautiful Limoges porcelain dish on a pedestal base. This dish is crisp white with blue ribbon garland and sprays of golden stenciled roses decoration. The blue decoration is transfer with hand painted gold roses stenciled in, encircling the interior of the dish. The ornately scalloped edge is embellished by hand with heavy gilding, and the pedestal base is additionally enhanced with a gold band.

The bottom of the dish bears the green underglaze mark "Limoges" over "FRANCE" with a star on either side of the mark, (usually used on Limoges boxes).

As referenced by the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain", 3rd Edition, by author Mary Frank Gaston...this piece is not antique but a collectible piece of Limoges porcelain. This is a contemporary mark used by the Castel Company from the 1980"s to the 1990's. This identifying green underglaze mark is shown on Page 437 and information regarding the mark is located on Page 434 of this book.

This dish measures 9" long, 5 1/2" wide and 4" high from table to rim...and is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration of any kind. I
