We offer for your consideration...this wonderful, highly collectible Roseville Pottery, Zephyr Lily Vase. This particular line with Zephyr Lily decoration was introduced in 1946. It features blossoms of white, yellow, rose and lavender (often having two bloom colors on the same piece). This particular piece..."IS NOT OFTEN SEEN IN THIS HONEY BROWN & HUNTER GREEN COMBINATION COLOR"!! (It is usually seen in the blue color). It has two yellow Lilies on one side and one yellow Lily on the opposite side, on a textured background that looks like a pool rippling with raindrops. The body colors are variegated hunter green at the top, blending into honey brown in the center portion, and then blending into hunter green again at the bottom. It is a Loving Cup style vase with wide trumpet style opening at the top.
The Vase measures 7 3/8" tall and the diameter of the top opening is 5" across. The diameter of the base is 4 1/8".
The bottom bears the identifying embossed raised marking, (Roseville, U.S.A., 132-7").
The Ohio based manufacturing company produced stoneware beginning in 1890 until sales declined after World War II, especially in the early 1950's, when in inexpensive Japanese imports began to replace American wares. On November 29, 1954, the facilities of Roseville were sold to the Mosaic Tile Company.
This highly collectible piece of American Roseville Pottery is in excellent condition...with no chips, cracks, crazing, hairlines or restoration of any kind!
