The back bears the identifying mark of the Jean Pouyat Limoges Porcelain Factory, Mark 5, (underglaze white ware mark in green with "FRANCE"), as referenced by the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain", 3rd edition, by author Mary Frank Gaston, (Page 238)...dating this wonderful piece to between ca. 1890 and 1932.
This plate measures 8 1/2" in diameter and is in excellent condition with no hairlines, chips, cracks, or restoration. The gilded design on the plate and on the edge, are both in excellent condition as well.
This elegant piece is a wonderful example of well-painted antique Limoges porcelain!
