We offer for your consideration, this wonderful antique hand painted Bavarian porcelain cabinet plate with skillfully painted "Currants" berry motif. The hand painted sprays of plump berries are surrounded by green and autumn leaves and placed on a softly shaded backdrop of pale yellow, blue, green, peach, salmon, burnt orange and brown.

The back bears the identifying mark of the Jaeger & Company Porcelain Factory, Bavaria. The back also displays the artist's signature with decorating date of 1922 which pinpoints the exact date of this piece's completion!

This cabinet plate measures 8 3/8" in diameter and is enhanced with a gilded edge. The condition is excellent with no hairlines, chips, cracks, or restoration of any kind...and the gilded edge is in excellent condition as well! The back has an unglazed area missed at the factory, on the border edge with a bit of extra paint as shown in the photographs, at the 6:00 and 12:00 positions. The glaze skip and extra paint on the back, in no way detracts from this plate's beauty from the front, as it is not seen at all when on display.

This piece is a wonderful example of skillfully painted Bavarian porcelain, by a very talented artist in 1922...that would enhance the autumn decorations in your home for the fall season of the year!

Thank you for your interest!
