Offering wonderful examples of hand painted LIMOGES, MEISSEN, NIPPON, ROSENTHAL and R.S. PRUSSIA...just to name a few!
As referenced by the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain", 3rd edition, by author Mary Frank Gaston... the back bears the identifying Mark 3, (underglaze white ware mark in green with "LIMOGES" and "FRANCE") on page 134, for the William Guerin & Company Porcelain Factory. The backstamp dates this truly charming tray to between 1900 and 1932, which coincides with Betty Brown's hand painting of this piece in 1911!
This lovely porcelain treasure measures a large 13 1/2" long by 10 1/2" wide, and is in "excellent" condition...with no hairlines, chips, cracks, or restoration of any kind. The gilded edge is in good condition also, with only some very, very slight, expected, age related loss of gold, which does not detract from it's beauty or value...and actually "adds" to it's charm! Enjoy with use when serving guests or as a dresser tray in your bedroom! A wonderful example of fine quality antique hand painted Limoges porcelain!
