Here is a great find for the collector! This pewter coffee pot was made circa 1830 by Thomas D. Boardman of Connecticut. It bears the lion mark on the base with Boardman and the number 4.The pot is quite large at just under 12 inches in height and 10 inches spout to handle. It is in exceptional condition considering the age. There are no dents, dings or repairs however there are quite a lot of tiny corrosion bubbles surfacing and a small hole on the lid from one of these. I am not sure how to take care of that and I have not attempted to clean it in any way. I will leave that up to the new owner. The hinge is strong .You can enlarge the pictures to get a better understanding of what I mean. Overall it is a terrific piece of well sought after history!
