This absolutely gorgeous 1940's platter was created by Rosenthal porcelain of Germany and the pattern, Classic Rose, was designed by Raymond Loewy. Raymond Loewy was called upon by Rosenthal to create an exciting and modern look in the 1940's to help update their image. Today these pieces are highly collectible! This platter, lays 12 inches across with a 3/4 inch sterling silver rim. The porcelain is a clean white background with a simple silvered rose and gold outlines. Classic Rose is the perfect name for this pattern! This piece is in excellent condition and would make a great gift for a Wedding or Anniversary!
