This beautiful vintage pottery bowl was created by Felix Tissot. He was a France born artist that moved to Taxco Mexico and opened his own pottery studio in the 1950's. Felix Tissot passed away in 1989 but his legend lives on in his rare and creative pottery! The bowl is 11 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches deep. It bares a great Native design of green and tan birds. The base is signed by Felix Tissot and marked Taxco. It even still has a peso's sticker on the base at 24,500.00! That would be about 1,800.00 today! There is light crazing but no chips or cracks! What an excellent piece to add to your pottery collection!
