This stunning piece is a collectors dream! It is a soup or punch ladle made by the American Coin Silversmiths Farrington and Hunnewell of Boston Massachusetts circa 1840's. The ladle is a large 11 1/2 inches long with a figural scallop shell bowl that is 3 1/4 inches wide and 1 inch deep. The end of the handle has a medallion center and the back of that has a fainted monogram of D. It should be very easy to remove that if desired. The back of the handle is marked with F&H.
