Circa: 1900 Dimensions: 14 1/2" wide x 5" deep x 23 " high This is a lovely American Victorian Gingerbread Clock. It was produced by the Ansonia Clock Company, New York. It is made of Oak and has a Medium Oak Patina.

This Clock is in working order. The Case is in good condition.

The Clock has a lovely form. It is ornately carved. The silhouette is quite beautiful. It scallops in a complex design. The Crown of the Clock has a Central Rococo Shell Cartouche. It is framed by Acanthus Leaf Scroll Work. Scrolls flow down either side of the Clock. Bell Flowers and Diamond Blocks with Beading also embellish the Oak Case.

The Clock has a Hinged Glass Door with Canted Corners. The Oak Framing the Glass is carved with gorgeous Bead Work.

Opening the Door reveals a lovely Clock Face. It has Two Winding Holes, one for the movement and one for the bell. The Face is made of metal. It has a cream paper surface with black Roman Numerals and Hands. It is marked, "Manufactured by the Ansonia Clock Company, New York, United States of America."

The Pendulum is quite ornate with Scrolls and Rococo Shells embellishing the top. The Bob is round and beautifully shaped.

The base of the Clock is multi-tiered. It is carved with a beautiful inter-woven Guilloche Band with beads at the center.
