Necklace is from circa 1950/1960, the beads are totally hand worked, this means that the beads have been made one by one by hand and not with the help of machines as they are made today. Paying attention to each bead we can see that they are not perfectly round but a little bit flat on their poles and this means that they are handmade. Only with the help of machines we can have a perfect round coral bead. This necklace is 21 2/8" in lenght, the beads come from 8 mm to 16 mm, the weight is 108 grams, please note that that is the net weight, only of the the coral and nothing else. This is an authentic Angel Skin coral from Japan worked in Torre del Greco, the city of the coral, well known in all over the world for its coral and cameos factory. Coral lovers and collectors well know that pieces like this one are really no more on the market, Angel Skin is the most precious coral and the quality of this one can't be found today.
