1950's Lefton Peacock Pair

A colorful and eye-catching Peacock pair of the porcelain persuasion, the male shown in full display, while the female waits to be taken (or flown) home! These splendid creatures were made by Lefton between 1950 and 1955 and have survived the past 50+ years quite gracefully. The male has nary a chip, crack or repair, while his companion apologizes for the scratch on her neck and the ingesting of two, small flower petals (neither of which are seen from above). Their hand painted hues are still quite brilliant and their bisque porcelain construction gives them a semblance of softness. "Mr. P." (as he's affectionately known by me) is a nice size, measuring 6" to the top of his tail and 6" wide. "Ms. P." is 8" from beak to tail, 4.75" tall and 2" wide. They are both marked with the Lefton logo on the bottom along with "Peacock" (lest there was any doubt) "KW2335" and "KW2336" respectively. A grand pair for cabinet or shelf, you'll love 'em, ya will!
