A colorful and just about life-sized version of a Fischer's Lovebird, done in porcelain and hand painted in realistic detail. This gaily hued fellow was created in Germany between 1979 and 1990 and has survived the passing years in exceptional condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs or paint loss. He stands 5.5" to the top of his red & yellow head and is just over 2.75" wide at his base. Birdie is marked "Goebel, W. Germany" on the bottom along with some numbers and a plastic label which identifies him in three different languages (I guess he gets around!) A truly splendid specimen with all the charm and pugnaciousness of his breathing cousins. You'll love him!
