1940's Gould Parrot Prints in Bubble Frames

A set of vintage prints in fun frames by the artist John Gould, one depicting a pair of King Parrots and the other Eastern Rosella. Both are housed in convex glass frames that have reverse painted borders on the back and measure 6" in diameter. Both are in good condition for their age, although the Rosellas' have some wear along the edge where the glass meets the backing (see pic). It is also missing its original hanger but another was affixed long ago and the same type appears on the back of the King Parrots even though the original hanger is present. Both are marked with their original "Hand Made Peter Watson Studio" foil labels on the back. A nice vintage set still vibrantly colored and superbly detailed. You'll be pleased, we're sure.
