1940's Children's Book : Poco and the Parrot

A sweet story of Poco the Burro and the Parrot that he wished to become. The book is hardbound with plastic spirals and features 40 pages of black & white and color illustrations. It was written by Laurene Chambers Chinn in 1947 and illustrated by Ethel Hays. The book shows its age via wear to the front and back covers, a broken spiral on the bottom of the spine, a dedication written on the flyleaf and a tape mark on two pages (see pics). It's still in fine shape for being over 60 years old and a charming read for your babies - be they feathered or human.
