Stangl Golden Crowned Kinglet 3848

A colorful Kinglet from Stangl's "Birds of America" series, perched on some grass in a rather prone position! Made of pottery and hand painted, these birds were produced between 1940 and 1978 when the factory closed its doors. This particular bird was painted in the Trenton, NJ factory by Margaret Walsh and bears her initials on the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and measures 4.25" to the top of its tail, 3" from butt to beak and 2.5" from wing tip to wing tip. Fully marked on the bottom and ready to display (or be displayed) at your place. Quite a charmer, you'll like!
