Alabaster Cockatoo Bookends from Italy

A colorful pair of Alabaster Cockatoos from Italy that can't wait to get at your books! They are a pair of bookends, you see, with a flat side on one end and tails on the other. Each bird has been hand carved and has inlaid stones for eyes, with an orange & black coloring in the stone that really sets them apart. The tallest is about 6.25" tall and both are approx. 2.25" X 1.5" at their base. As with most items made from this medium, there are small chips on one 'Too's crest and tail and also along the edge on the flat area (see pics), while the other remains largely unscathed. So if you've been looking for pair of helpful 'Toos to hold up books (or keep open doors) then these may be your birds. One thing's for sure - they don't have to be cleaned up after (other than the occasional dusting......)
