If you're looking for a statue that's simply superb (with a crest and a beak besides) then look no further than this porcelain Princess from Germany, shown perched upon leaves with face feathers puffed. Made in the early 1900's by the A.W. Fr. Kister Porcelain Company (1905-1972) this statuesque sweetie is certain to captivate and beguile. For starters she stands a surprising 12.5" tall (4 3/8" at her base) and although a pale Parrot (save for gold in all the right places) her detail is just delightful. She's also in excellent condition with no damage despite her 70-80+ years, save for three factory flaws: a firing crack between her tail and the base and a spot on her breast and flight feather (see pics, all are original and glazed over). She is marked "KPF" on the bottom along with the company's "S" mark, which is stamped into the porcelain, the number "5647" and the artist's initial. An elegant example of the fine quality porcelains produced by Germany at the turn-of-the-century (and a Cockatoo, besides!) You'll adore her, we're sure!
