It is said that this fellow brings light to the hearts (and rooms) of all that know him and with his hand painted hues and elaborate metal base, it's easy to see why! Coming to you from the hills of the Ozark mountains is this vintage table lamp, elegantly adorned with a colorful bird in a Dogwood tree on the front. Both are set off nicely with a pink background, and the paint on the buds 'n blossoms is raised for added appeal. The lamp is topped by its (I presume) original cloth shade followed by a metal cap, porcelain middle, and footed, metal base. The perfect lamp for the space challenged, it measures just 14.25" high with the shade on and takes a regular sized light bulb. It is in nice condition save for some factory brown spots in the porcelain (see pic) and glaze indentations, all original. I do think the top part of the socket has been replaced as it is a different color that the bottom (no biggie, tis covered with the shade). The shade is in fine condition as well, and although unmarked it's almost certainly from Old Japan. A dainty lamp for bed, bath or boudoir, we're sure you'll find it de-light-ful!
