Marble Cockatoo Bookends / Ashtrays from Italy

Ciao amici! Looking for a pair of Cockatoos that are not only gorgeous but useful.....'Too? Well, look no further for today we offer this vintage set of molto bello Sulphur-crests, made of Italian marble and ready to serve as a pair of bookends, ashtrays, or what have yous! They are 3" tall, 4.75" long and 3" wide at the base. They will come to you with glass eyes, attractive veining, and hand carved details that really set them apart from the rest. They are in good condition apart from some scuffs on one 'Too's crest (see pic, may actually be a result of the hand carving and original). Unmarked but absolutely Italian, with wells in the bases to hold "stuff" and notches on the sides should that stuff be a pen or cigarette (although I have to say cigs and books usually don't get along .......) These guys are of better quality than most and certainly more elegant. Heavy, too, you'll like!
