Pre WWII Karl Ens Cockatoo Figurine

Coming to you from long ago and far away is this fabulous 'Too, crafted in Germany before World War II. The hand painting on this crested creature is second to none with excellent shading & detail, although the coloring isn't all that realistic (in fact, I know a couple of African Greys that would be jealous!) It stands 7.5" tall, is 3" x 2.5" at the base and is charmingly posed with one foot lifted as if Birdie wants "UP". His condition is good (especially for being 60+ years old) with just a little paint wear at the end of his crest and a tiny glaze skip at the end of his tail. Marked "Ens Porzellan Volkstadt" on the bottom along with a word I cannot make out (see pic). I wonderful piece of history in 'Too form, betcha love it!
