Crystal Footed Candy Jar from Germany

A somewhat egg shaped crystal candy jar, made by the now out of business Hofbauer Company of West Germany. It is decorated with etched birds on two sides of the base and has the Hofbauer logo bird atop the lid. On the bottom feet, that look as if they are curled. One of the great things about this piece is that it comes with the original Hofbauer sticker still attached to the lid. It is in pretty good condition with the exception of a shallow chip on the back of the top edge (see pic) which is not obvious and does not change the shape of the sawtooth. The candy jar is 5.75" tall and is 4.75+" in length. It has a wonderful "ring" to it when struck (but not too hard!) and displays beautifully. I am certain you it. Looking for more Hofbauer pieces?
