An exquisite figurine of the poultry persuasion, made by Noritake of Japan and crafted of fine bone china. The Hen is beautifully hand painted, with exceptional detail on her face and waddle, as well as texturized "bumps" giving her added interest. Her eyes are a marvel of minutely dotted lids and expressive pupils (I could also go on about her stubby little feet...but I won't). She measures 4.75" tall to the top of her tail, 5.75" in length from beak to tail and about 3.25" wide. She is marked on the bottom with a Noritake logo that was registered in 1949 and still retains her original "Noritake Bone China" foil label. The best news of all (besides her availability ) is that she is in excellent condition, with nary a chip or crack to mar your enjoyment of her.
