REDUCED 1930's Art Deco Tie Rack w/ Parrots

Here's a couple of Parrots who are ready to "tie" one on! Here we have a very old and very unusual tie rack from 1933, sporting a pair of Parrots on the front amid a mountain scene. It is made of leather over wood and the birds and background are embossed into the leather, so they stand out in bias relief. The racks on the side are made of metal, as is the hanging ring at the top. Measures 9.5" long (includes the ring) and is 5.5" wide, inclusive of the racks. The rack was used daily for many years, so there is wear to the leather along the edges and on the back (see pics). I have also noted a line in the leather right below the Parrot's tail (see that pic, too). The paint on the front is still quite vibrant, and the mark on the back "Made in USA, Patented 2-28-33" is still quite visible, too. A cool 'n colorful deco tie holder for a cool 'n colorful you.
