Eagle Ashtray from Austria

Quite old and certainly rare is this brass ashtray from Europe, sporting an Eagle with wings proudly spread atop a globe. The heft of this piece will astound you as it weighs a whopping 2.4 pounds all by itself, with a measurement of of only 5" x 3" at the base and 4" in height! The bird is affixed to the base by a screw and is unmarked and unformed on the back. The tray has two wells for your cigs on opposite ends but if you're not a smoker don't let THAT stop you, as this piece would make an excellent vanity tray, too (and at 2.4 pounds perhaps a boat anchor .......!) It is in great condition with the original patina and ready to land on a table or dresser some day soon. How about yours?
