Cockatoo Bronze on Marble

If you tend toward 'Toos of the strong and silent type, then this turn-of-the-century bronze deserves a closer look. Here we have a bright-eyed and bushy tailed Cockatoo perched atop a block of marble, clinging tightly to a T-stand via screws and looking for a new home. Birdie is in possession of fine feathered detail, with a bit of puff to those fine feathers, and stands 5" to the top of his crest, while the marble is 1 5/8" squared. He's in grand condition as well, with just a slight bend in the T-stand (see pic) and no chips or cracks in the marble. Tis heavy enough for a paperweight, big enough to hold a few rings, and cute enough to capture your heart........
