1980 Limited Edition Peregrine Falcon Sculpture

An outstanding and just about life-sized Peregrine Falcon figurine, done in bisque porcelain and hand painted with natural colors. The bird is well detailed and posed atop a rock while looking over it shoulder (note the open mouth as well!) It was created in 1980 as a Limited Edition by the designer Yasumara Ozawa and sculptor Tsuneo Katoh for Napcoware, as part of their "Birds of North America" collection. This piece is rather rare as it's a salesman's sample and therefore unnumbered. The Raptor stands just over 10" tall and is about 6" wide from wing to wing. I am pleased to report that it is without chips, cracks or repairs and the stand). A REAL treasure, don't miss it!
