1990 Franklin Mint Eagle Owl w/ Snake

A very exciting and visually arresting Eagle Owl from The Franklin Mint, intent on battling a snake for dominance (and dinner!) The piece is made of fine porcelain and meticulously hand painted in realistic detail. It was created by the artist George McMonigle in 1990 and is superbly modelled with wings outstretched, talons poised and mouth open in stimulation (note the protruded tongue!) The Owl is rather large, measuring 12.5" from wing to wing, 11" wide and 12.5" tall. It is in excellent condition, with nary a chip or crack and will come to you in its original shipping container and with its original wood stand (not pictured, measurements do not include the stand). It is marked "Crafted in Fine Porcelain, Hand Painted, The Eagle Owl by George McMonigle, c. 1990, The Franklin Mint" on the bottom, where there is felt attached to protect your furniture.
