Mack China Kestrel Figurine from England

A superb Kestrel figure from Staffordshire, England, produced by Mack China, a company founded by ex-Beswick employees. The figurine is made of bone china and entirely handpainted with realistic details and a regal pose. It is finished in a shiny glaze, which made it a little tricky to photograph, but the effect in person is quite striking. The bird measures just over 6.5" tall, is 4" wide and 5.75" long. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks and signed by the artist (R.J. Mack!) on the bottom, along with the company's logo. Produced in a limited edition although I don't know what the numbers were. A choice and strikingly colored contemporary piece, I'm certain you'll be pleased!
