Here we have an outstanding Sharp-Shinned Hawk figurine made of fine porcelain (the bird) and bronze (the branches). The hawk is handpainted in realistic colors, with exquisite attention to detail and shading. Truly, you can't get a Hawk that looks more natural other than one that's real. (Yes, it's THAT well done.....) It was made in England in 1985 by Royal Worcester as part of their "Birds of Prey" series, in a limited edition of 9,800, although I understand there were production problems and less than the 9,800 were made. You'll find the figurine to be in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs (although I do hear a rattling inside) and measuring just over 7.5" in height to the top of the bird's head. It is marked on the bottom with a metal medallion which reads "Birds of Prey, 1985 Royal Worcester, Sharp-Shinned Hawk, Made in England an edition of 9800". So if Raptors and Birds of Prey are among your favorites, you may want to seriously consider this Hawk, I promise you will be impressed with him from the moment he's unwrapped..... (I know I am).
