Early 1900's Jewelry Box w/ Parrot, Ladies 'n Lord

A wonderful jewelry box from days gone by, made even more interesting by the addition of a Parrot! He is accompanied by two ladies and a gent on the lid, featuring a household scene straight out of the 1700's (and by the looks of things, Birdie wants in on the action!) The box is made of wood that has designs stamped into it, with the scene being a print behind glass, backed by a mirror on the inside. Opening the box reveals not only the mirror but three sectioned areas with glass below and gold material peeking from underneath. The bottom is finished with furniture protecting cardboard, which has been nailed on. The box measures 10" x 8" x 2.75" and is painted in an antiqued gold color. It is in good condition with the following apologies: a greenish discolored area on the side and a little damage to the wood on the left front corner (see pics). I have also noted the the mirror is past its prime, having dark spots and a rippled texture to the silvering (see pic). As long as you're not buying the box for the mirror you'll love it, with lots of room inside for jewels and removable sections should a space prove too confining. And then, of course, there's the Parrot.......!
