A dainty and delectable rectangular dresser tray from England, sporting handles at each end and colorful birds within. The pattern is called "The Gay Macaw" and, although they don't look like Macaws to me, they do seem pretty happy! The tray is made of porcelain and has gold along the handles and edges, most of which is worn (along the edges, not the handles). It measures 11.5" across from handle to handle and is 5.75" wide. The tray is in good condition for its age, having no chips or cracks, just age crazing (see pics). It is marked "W.H Grindley & Co. Ltd., England, Ivory, The Gay Macaw" on the back. This pattern has a registry number of 714550 (not marked on this tray), which dates it between 1925 and 1926. A great little tray not only for potions and perfumes but for use on the table as well. Subtly colored yet vibrant at the same time - I'm certain you'll be pleased!
