SOLD Lustreware Budgie Cake Set

A great looking, five piece lustreware cake or dessert set from Old Japan, consisting of one 9.5" handled serving tray and four 6.25" individual plates. And there's no keeping the 'Keets away from the goodies with THIS set, for a handpainted, cuddling pair can be found on each and every piece. All of the dishes are free of chips, cracks or repairs, though I have noted a small scratch on the tray near the handle and a factory indentation on all but one plate (see pics). The lustre is still in great shape despite the sets age (circa 1940's) and all of the 'Keet colors crisp and vibrant. Each piece is marked with "Made in Japan" underneath a flower logo on the back and is clean and ready to "serve". So there you have it - a flock of Budgies that are a treat in more ways than one. Quite the colorful bunch, you'll love 'em!
