Pre WWII Reticulated Plate from Germany w/ Cockatoo 'n Parrot

A splendidly done lustreware plate from Germany, featuring Cockatoo and Parrot companions in the center who are actually getting along! It has cut out, lace edges with an impressed leaf design at intervals and is decorated with a light teal lustre along the edge. The birds themselves are done in pinks, purples, and teals, with orange and teal grasses providing a nice contrast. OK, enough with the colors! The plate measures over 9.5" in diameter and is in good condition with no chips or cracks, just some light use scratches in the lustre and a small .25" scratch in the white area, which cannot be seen unless tilted a certain way. It is simply marked "Germany" on the back. This would be an excellent display piece or used as a serving tray with a Birdie "surprise" on the bottom. Very pretty, you'll like!
