AT AUCTION Van Briggle Parakeet Lamp w/ Original Shade

A sweet little pottery lamp from Van Briggle of Colorado, featuring a lone Budgie perched in a tree. The lamp retains its original plastic and material shade, which features actual butterflies and dried flowers underneath the covering. Interesting! (I was told that Van Briggle incorporated only plants and insects indigenous to Colorado in their creations). The lamp stands about 16" tall to the top of the shade and is about 4" in diameter at the base, while the shade is 6.5". Because the base is done in a matte, white glaze, this lamp will match just about any color scheme. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks, although the shade does have a small crack on the INSIDE seam (see pic) which does not go through to the outside. I have also noted a nut holding the shade on to the harp, which I'm sure is not original. The perfect size for your nightstand, vanity, or bathroom, with the most wonderful of themes - a Parakeet! You'll love it! (And yes, it works!)
