1970's Byrdes Crystal Candleholders

A set of bird figural candleholders from Germany, made of crystal with satin etched wings. The holders are additionally decorated with "points" on the outside of the top bowl and linear designs on the base. This set was originally made by the now defunct Hofbauer Company of West Germany and was part of their Byrdes Crystal Collection. They still retain their original factory stickers (dated 1979) and come in their original boxes. Each measures 6.75" in height and are about 3.25" in diameter at the base. Both are very heavy for their size. One candleholder has a nick along the inside top edge (see pic) which is hard to see due to the shine. The other has a factory flaw along the bottom edge in the form of a slight indentation (see that pic, too). Both flaws are minor.
