REDUCED Victorian Bronze Inkwell w/ Perched Parakeet

A rare and remarkable Victorian inkwell stand from Germany, sporting a bronze Parakeet perched on a T-stand in its center, with cut crystal inkwells flanking each side below. The tray is large enough to accommodate pens and various writing accessories, and keeps the heavy inkwells stationary via attached braces. But enough of the tray, what about the Budgie?!? Although unmarked it is certain to be a Vienna bronze and is quite detailed with lines on its feet and an obvious cere. I can tell it was once painted but is no longer and measures just under 3.5" in length. The bird is attached to the perch via small screws and the perch unscrews from the stem. The dimensions for the entire tray are 6.75" x 4" x 6.25" and the inkwells on their own, 1.75" squared and 2.25" in height. You'll find this outstanding set to be in excellent condition, especially for its age, with no overt flaws that I can see. I have noted a small chip on the bottom corner of one crystal inkwell (see pic, it is VERY small) and a scratch on the top of the other, but nothing remarkable. This is certain to be a stand out in your collection no matter what your interest: birds, inkwells or Victoriana. Simply superb, you WILL be pleased!
