About Antique Beak

About Us

Specializing in vintage & collectible Parrot and Wild Bird items. Always buying & selling!

01/28/10

Welcome to Antique Beak a shop for Parrot & bird lovers.......everywhere!

We are back from the Festival that celebrated a passion for Parrots and included not only fun stuff like live & silent auctions, banquets, and parties but informative seminars by such noted speakers as Dr. Irene Pepperberg (of Alex fame). A fun time was had by all and a bit of work, too, it's not easy caging up and hauling the Beak birds as you can well imagine and then rounding them all up (less a few that were adopted) for the trip home. I couldn't have done it without the help of my superior friend, Karen Cook, mistress of pictures, textiles and jewelry. Thanks, Karen, you ARE appreciated!
Today we bring you treasures from both near and far but not as many as we planned. We had at least seven or eight more to charm you with but, alas, time ran out. Guess you'll see 'em next time. In the meantime you can feast your eyes on some fabulous finds both elegant and amusing, including the early 1900's Heubach Cockatoo and the flirty, feathery Tookie Bird salt & pepper set. You can view these fellows and more by clicking on the "This Week's Arrivals" link just above and remember we DO have a layaway plan.

Wish you could keep up with the new listings on the Beak but don't have the time (or memory) to keep checking back week after week? By popular demand we've created a new mailing list that will advise you when new items have been added, typically twice a month. If you'd like to be added to it just send us an email and we'll take it from there. Of course, you can unsubscribe at any time.
Need a bit o' Birdie bling? Then stop by Beak Chic (our shop featuring bird themed jewelry & accessories) next week when we'll be adding some rather interesting and unusual pieces just flown in from all points on the globe. You can find a link to the shop under the "Favorite Links" area to the left.

Congratulations to Diane Starnes, the winner of the Antique Beak $100.00 gift certificate at the Parrot Festival. She was all excitement when her name was announced and knew just what she wanted when presented with the prize (she had scouted in advance). We'll be posting Diane's picture as well as pics from the Festival next time around, see them (and hopefully you) the second week of February.

Jennifer @ Le Beak

We also buy bird items and consider trades in some cases. If you have anything you think we'd like, let us know!

We know how difficult it is to buy items seen only on a flat screen, so we have taken a few views of most items so you can get a good idea of what it looks like from all angles. If you need additional photos of anything please don't hesitate to ask!

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
