OK...this is NOT what you are used to seeing when you hear the name Florenza! According to Larry Kasoff, son of the founder of Florenza, his father, Dan Kasoff, designed this VERY UNUSUAL piece himself in the 1960's. I was told it is a trinket, but there is a little rouge residue inside, so it might be a compact or perfume solid. It would make a great pill box too. The top is covered with "googly eyes" set in textured gold-tone metal. This measures 1 3/4", including the ball clasp, and is signed "FLORENZA©" inside the hinged lid. It is in very good vintage condition. I have not tried to clean it. This piece is EXCEEDINGLY HARD TO FIND...a must have for the serious Florenza collector!
